Taking a grading certainly does not mean an automatic pass. They are a test of your knowledge at your current level. When you have reached that level it will be recommended that you grade. Please do not take offence if you are not invited to grade, everyone progresses at different speeds. It is not a race but a worthwhile achievement when you have worked for it! Parents unless you are a Taekwondo Master, could we ask you respectfully to mot pass judgment on whether you feel your child is ready or not, we do a lot of hard ward in building confidence only for some parents to say their child isn't good enough.  Trust us, we would not put a child forward to grade unless they are at teh required standard for that grade.
